Media Straight Up! Curriculum Guide
Created by Drug Free Pennsylvania in collaboration with renowned media expert Dr. Renee Hobbs of the Temple University Media Education Lab. Newly updated in 2009, this exciting middle school curriculum is designed to help kids make more informed decisions, such as avoiding risky drug and alcohol-related behaviors, while learning how traditional and online media influence society.
In addition, the lesson plans and exercises are designed to meet a number of Pennsylvania Academic standards for middle school aged students such as Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening; Health, Safety and Physical Education; Arts and Humanities; Civics and Government and even Mathematics.
